Stone Soup Coffeehouse announces its 37th Season of presenting fine acoustic music in Rhode Island, beginning with Cliff Eberhardt and special guest Louise Mosrie on September 24, 2016 at 7pm. Concerts will continue at The Slater Mill at 67 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket.
“We came to Pawtucket and Slater Mill many years ago as part of the Pawtucket Arts Renaissance,” says Richard Wahlberg, President of the Board and the MC for many of the concerts throughout the season. “Today, our artists love playing at the Mill and our patrons are delighted to come and see the local and regional talent that we book.”
This season features The Kennedys, The Nields, and Christine Lavin as well as local favorites such as Joanne Lurgio, Michael Laureanno, Michael Bresler and Phil Edmonds. For the first time, Stone Soup is inviting local rock talent to share their songs in an acoustic setting with PVD Unplugged. The season ends with the annual RISA Songwriting Competition, featuring David Roth.
“We have been a part of Pawtucket’s arts community for the past 16 years and we are grateful for the opportunity to host its 37th Season at Slater Mill,” says Wahlberg.
Our annual mailer will be going out to post soon! Here’s to another great season at Stone Soup!
